America’s Godly Heritage

“What our forefathers with so much difficulty
secured, do not basely relinquish.”

William Bradford’s epitaph

Righteousness exalts a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people.

Prov 14:34

Truthful history clearly reveals that many of the founders of America sought righteousness as expressed in the Bible and defined by Jesus (Yeshua).

James Madison, fourth President of America who is known as the”Father of the American Constitution”, said “We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God”

Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
George Washington

Were men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin the only “founders”?

Did you know that there are over 250 men that are considered to be America’s “Founders”? Certainly, not all of them were in covenant with Jehovah God, redeemed by the blood of the Messiah. But there is overwhelming evidence that many were; and even more that held the truth of the Bible very dear. The very laws and nature of early America loudly and boldly proclaim this to be so.

As just one small evidence of this; Three days before George Washington took the oath of office as the first president of the United States, Congress passed the following resolution:Resolved, That after the oath shall have been administered to the President, he, attended by the Vice President and members of the Senate and House of Representatives, shall proceed to St. Paul’s Chapel, to hear divine service. (Annals of Congress, Vol. 1, p. 25, April 27, 1789).

Jehovah God was in America’s history from the very beginning
Pictured below is the altar in St. Paul’s Cathedral; the same “St. Paul’s chapel” mentioned in the resolution above. The altar is an artwork titled “Glory”. The white clouds and golden lighting represent the glory of God, and the Hebrew word for “The LORD” , “Yahweh”, is seen above the two tablets of the Ten Commandments.

Following is part of George Washington’s speech to Delaware Indian Chiefs on June 12, 1779

.“You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are. Congress will do everything they can to assist you in this wise intention.”

“He who controls the past, controls the future”
We are fully aware of the slander and misinformation that has been disseminated regarding the founders of America in an attempt to reconstruct America’s Heritage. Were all of America’s founders perfect? No. Are you? Was every one of them (over 250) a devout Christian? No. Were there satanic influences working there way into America by the time the 1780’s rolled around? Yes. That’s obvious.

However truthful history incontrovertibly confirms that many of America’s founders, including our first President George Washington, were boldly unashamed to identify America as a Bible based, (Yahweh) God fearing Confederated Republic.

Rather than listening to revisionist lies, objective examination of the actual writings of America’s founders as well as other fruits of their labors, profoundly confirms this..

“The Bible is the Book upon which this Republic rests.”
– Andrew Jackson, Seventh President of the United States

The law of Yahweh is perfect, converting the soul:

Ps 19:7

“Those people who are not governed by GOD
will be ruled by tyrants.”

William Penn

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Phil 4:8

On April 18, 1775 John Adams and John Hancock were at the home of Rev. Jonas Clarke who was a Lexington “Pastor” and a member of the Black Robed Regiment as a militia leader. That same night Paul Revere arrived to warn them of the approaching Redcoats. The next morning British Major Pitcairn shouted to an assembled regiment of Minutemen; “Disperse, ye villains, lay down your arms in the name of George the Sovereign King of England.” The immediate response of Rev. Jonas Clarke or one of his company was:

“We recognize no Sovereign but God and no King but Jesus.”

Today, in this crucial hour of America’s history it is past time that the true saints of Yahweh, The God of the Bible, give total allegiance to the Kingship of our Savior and Lord, Yeshua The Messiah.

“We can’t solve our problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them”
Albert Einstein

Psalm 11:3 says “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”  One of the very effective means the adversary has utilized to destroy America is to create division by tearing away at our very foundations.

American Christians have an amazing, Godly heritage that has largely been surrendered, stolen and lost.  But praise God, with Him, we can rebuild the damage that has been done in our own lives and, in faith, we can move forward into a brighter tomorrow together.

These subjects are regularly discussed in various meetings that we have in homes, public places and on the internet.  If you are seeking the things of “God and Country”, you are welcome to join in. Contact us here
